Running two systems off one server using virtualization

vraezsvfews is planning on leaving cpanel for good but wants to have his sites live whilst also trying out a couple of control panels like Webmin or Virtualmin and some others on live sites. The idea is that he can instead try several control panels for different sites on the same server by setting up VPSs using a virtualization software such as Virtualizor. Virtualizor also have their own control panel, Webuzo, which he would be interested in trying since the price is good, although the review he found online wasn't great. The idea is that he can have one server instead of two, where if all fails he doesn't need to do a new system install, but can just move the live sites to the other VPS on the same server, and then wipe it, avoiding having to move sites to a completely new server to do a reinstall. He has a decently powerful server with 20 cores and 256GB RAM. So is this a good plan or do you think he should just install one control panel on the bare metal server instead?

cPanel vs DirectAdmin, what's best for resellers?

It's been a few years since the first announcements of annual price increases for cPanel/WHM hit the news, with the initial reactions of dismay by some and support by others, whilst other panels seemed to pick up the pace in development to cope with the demands of hosts wishing to switch to alternatives but requesting features they missed. DirectAdmin came out as a favorite amongst those moving from one panel to another. Meantime, stalwart cPanel supporters stuck to their guns and absorbed or passed on the cost increases. Now that the dust has settled somewhat, this thread pits cPanel and DirectAdmin against each other, from the perspective of resellers. So, as a host or reseller, have you decided on your go-to control panel? If you moved, how did it work out in the end? If you stuck with cPanel are you happy that you did?
