Management for Baremetal Business

A member's company sells cloud and VPS traditionally, but is experiencing a growing demand for bare metal dedicated servers and needs to find a way to automate provisioning, O/S installs, reboots, etc. He's wondering what type of solution large hosting companies use to provide management and monitoring capabilities on their bare metal servers, and if there is any solution out there to give customers access to a portal where they can manage and monitor their bare metal servers out of band? He doesn't want to get into developing a new product and wonders if there are already third-party solutions out there that meet his needs? What's your solution? Do you use a ready-made product or have you developed something in-house?

Creating a mail server (or not?)

Elbasha wants to set up a VPS to be used exclusively for email and is looking for recommendations for mail server software. He also experiences difficulties sending from certain providers' IP addresses, particularly to Google and Hotmail where his mails go to spam, even though he uses DKIM and SPF records and new IP addresses. So what's his solution? A mail server of his own with clean IP and all the necessary DNS entries to ensure safe delivery, or a third party solution? There's already a few suggestions for software being posted in the thread, but is this the right way to ensure good delivery of outbound email? Share your thoughts in the thread.
