Black Friday strategy

With Black Friday a month away, one of our members asks hosting providers which strategy they choose for their Black Friday promotions? Do they receive negative feedback from existing customers if they offer discounts only to new ones? And  what is the best duration for promotions? Only 1-2 days or more? But what would potential customers like to see? Here's a thread where hosts can exchange ideas and future clients who, no doubt, will be scouring the offers sections for Black Friday deals can suggest some options they'd like to see and, of course, keep an eye on what potential bargains hosts are talking about promoting.

Selling reseller accounts - VPS or master reseller accounts?

Jose is looking for opinions on how best to sell reseller accounts - Use a hosting account with a master reseller plugin or rent a VPS and create reseller accounts using a control panel. The few opinions posted so far are split between the 2, pointing out that using a VPS comes with additional costs for licencing and possibly server administration, but might be more attractive with the flexibility to configure and optimize a VPS to your own tastes. There has been a slow decline in the availabilty of master reseller plugin options over the past few years, which may be what prompted Jose's question. What are master resellers opting for these days? Have your say in the thread.
