Yesterday hosts started to receive emails from cPanel confirming the news (that many already expected) that cPanel Partner pricing and cPanel Store pricing would be increasing from the start of 2022. It soon emerged that Plesk had sent out a similar email. Many will remember the original thread on WHT started in June 2019 when the first increase was announced. Since then that thread has grown to over 3200 posts and attracted in excess of a quarter of a million visits, showing the intense interest and reaction to these price increases, and it continues to grow. For those that prefer a more compact thread in which to discuss their feelings on the latest increases, a new one has been created where you can share your views. Do you think this latest increase will spark another migration to other panels or are you one of those that will stick with cPanel or Plesk?
Veteran WHTer ServerWholesale has some servers that use very little power so they underutilize the PDU total KW. All PDU outlets are occupied and he's using an outlet converter that gives 2 outlets per PDU outlet, This always feels a bit lose, and if he has to reboot via PDU it reboots 2 servers instead of just the target server alone. Is there anything he can set on the power drop so that it feeds 2 PDUs instead of one? There are some PDUs that can be daisy-chained to feed others, and there are outlet splitters, but some datacenters won't allow this. Share your experiences in the thread.
